Will I still be able to see my doctor?

Yes, you will be able to continue to see your doctor during this time. If you encounter any issues we encourage you to call our offices at 501-747-2828 to help answer any questions and resolve any problems.

Why did I receive this letter?

Every so often insurance carriers require healthcare providers to re-verify medical credentials and ensure they have accurate information on each provider in their network. In this instance, United Healthcare recently transitioned to a new provider credentialing platform that caused a minor delay in this process. As a result, when a provider is not re-credentialed in a specific period of time, a letter is generated and sent out informing patients that their provider will be out of network by a certain date.

When will this be resolved?

We are working diligently with the insurance carrier to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible. Based on all the information we’ve gathered; we estimate this should be resolved within the next three to four weeks if not sooner.

Does this affect all providers at Premier Gastroenterology?

No. This only affects a select few providers at our practice. Many of our physicians are not up for re-credentialing with United Healthcare, therefore there is no issue with their network eligibility.

How will I be billed if there is a lapse in provider eligibility?

We are working to mitigate any potential billing issues that may arise as a result. If you receive a bill and have any concerns, we ask that you call our billing team at 877-590-2029.

Was this due to the Conway Regional and United Healthcare contract dispute?

No, this has nothing to do with the current situation between Conway Regional and United Healthcare. This is an entirely separate circumstance and has nothing to do with that dispute.
